Check out this incredible Nelson Mandela sculpture

Nelson Mandela’s arrest in 1962, a few kilometres outside Howick KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, was marked by an amazing sculpture by South African artist Marco Cianfanelli in 2012, but I’ve only just come across it (HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED THIS?)

Mandela’s profile is captured in fifty steel columns measuring 6.5 and 9 meters high, each anchored to the concrete-covered ground. The portrait of Mandela can only be viewed at 35 meters from the front of the sculpture.

I don’t know about you, but I think seeing this is worth the price of a plane ticket.

This Girl Can – This campaign does

We love the latest campaign from Sport England and the English Sports Council, called ‘This Girl Can’ it’s designed to get more women and girls active, whatever their age, shape or ability.

The photography is brilliant, a perfect mix of defiance, grace & fun, it portrays women at their most confident & inspiring. The copywriting is equally outstanding.

Respect to FCB London for developing such a fabulous integrated campaign.

The Homes For Britain campaign hits hard and looks beautiful

I live in Bristol now, but I did my time at big London based agencies before I started Halo, so I know about crippling rents & the overblown house prices that come with capital living.

I guess the memories of struggling to maintain quality of life lives with you always, which is why this campaign from Homes for Britain struck a chord.
